This patient had saline implants that were too large for her. I performed an in-office deflation during which I removed the saline from her implants. This allowed her to see her baseline shape without implants and allowed her to determine what size will be best for her. She is seen 1 month after the deflation and just before her surgery. I performed breast augmentation with silicone implants. I switched her implant position from on top of the muscle to underneath. This provides for more natural fullness in the upper pole. I used Galaflex mesh (which is absorbable) to provide for an "internal bra" to help maintain her shape. A breast lift was needed to remove the extra skin. She is seen 3 months after surgery and is very happy with her natural, more youthful breast shape.
