From start to finish, Dr. Leedy and his staff did not disappoint! Dr. Leedy and Annie guided me through the process and answered all of my questions without hesitation (even my neurotic ones). The day of surgery, I was SO nervous and one of the staff members hugged me and assured me everything would be ok. From that hug to the anesthesiologist holding my hand to Dr. Leedy making himself available on the weekend for a follow-up, I cannot recommend this practice enough for any of your needs. I am ecstatic with my results and stop to stare every single time I walk past my reflection.
You’ve been eating healthy and doing your best to exercise daily but for some reason, you just can’t lose the fat – no matter how hard you try. This is because troublesome pockets of fat can be nearly impossible to get rid of without surgery. Given how frustrating this situation can be, you may want to consider liposuction. Liposuction could be the key to feeling good about your body again.
The Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute offers a highly effective, long-lasting liposuction for a variety of areas. Our surgeon utilizes liposuction to eliminate fat cells and enhance body contours. What is Liposuction?
It is a minimally invasive procedure that can smooth your silhouette like you’ve always wanted. Areas of treatment often include upper arms, thighs, hips, stomach, and lower back. This cosmetic surgery can be used to target and remove fat, shaping your body contours and making them appear smoother and tighter. It should be noted that the point of liposuction is to improve the physical appearance of the body – not reduce weight.
Is Liposuction Right for Me?
Based on your medical history and cosmetic goals, the Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute team will help you find out if you’re a good candidate for liposuction. Different areas of your body containing excess fat are needed and will be evaluated before tailoring a treatment plan just for you.

The most frequently asked questions about liposuction
Prior to undergoing liposuction, you must complete a pre-surgery evaluation and stop taking specific medications if asked. For best results, you should achieve an ideal body weight before you begin treatment. Remember to avoid food and drink the morning of surgery, don’t smoke, and arrange for someone to drive you home.
Before surgery, a general or local anesthesia is given to make you fall asleep so you will feel no pain. A tiny incision will be made near the pockets of fat using a cannula, or a thin tube, to gently suction and remove the fat cells from your body.
After the procedure, make sure you have someone to drive you home. During healing, expect bruising, redness, swelling, and tenderness at the liposuction site.
Take medicines as directed to enhance your comfort and be sure to get plenty of rest. If asked, wear compression garments and attend scheduled follow-up visits at the Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute.
As the swelling subsides, you can expect leaner, tighter, and smoother body contours. You may see results immediately after treatment but maximum benefits can take up to two months to manifest.
