From start to finish, Dr. Leedy and his staff did not disappoint! Dr. Leedy and Annie guided me through the process and answered all of my questions without hesitation (even my neurotic ones). The day of surgery, I was SO nervous and one of the staff members hugged me and assured me everything would be ok. From that hug to the anesthesiologist holding my hand to Dr. Leedy making himself available on the weekend for a follow-up, I cannot recommend this practice enough for any of your needs. I am ecstatic with my results and stop to stare every single time I walk past my reflection.
As you naturally age, the loss of skin elasticity and tautness leads to the sagging and drooping of skin above the eyes. This can create hooding and “frown lines” over the brow, and it may give the appearance of exhaustion, anger, or sadness. A brow lift, or forehead lift, can turn back time to restore your youthful glow, reduce forehead lines, sagging eyebrows, and can tighten the skin.
What is a brow lift?
The procedure begins with a small incision hidden in your scalp or camouflaged in the hairline. The skin of the forehead is lifted and redraped, creating a tighter, smoother appearance and weakens the muscles that form your “frown lines.” The aesthetic results should last for ten years or more. Those receiving a brow lift from Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute are often able to return to normal daily routines in about seven to ten days.
- You may also consider an endoscopic brow lift. This advanced procedure involves smaller incisions and reduced scarring and recovery time. By using three to five incisions that are about an inch long, your forehead muscles and skin will be adjusted, resulting in a more vibrant and youthful appearance.
- For a complete makeover, many of our patients have combined a brow lift with rhinoplasty or face lift, which limits the cost of multiple procedures and prevents patients from having to undergo multiple healing periods.

The most frequently asked questions about brow lifts
If you have
- Deep horizontal lines in your forehead
- Furrows between the eyebrows
- Or a naturally low-set brow that makes you appear tired, angry or older than you’d like
then you may be a good candidate for a brow lift.
The results of a brow lift can last up to a decade. But it should be noted that overtime, your forehead skin will continue to sag as you age.
Most patients start considering a brow lift around 50 years old, though it can differ depending on how the facial skin ages.
Your consultation is an opportunity for our office to educate you about a procedure, and you will never feel pressured or rushed to make a decision about what is best for you. If you desire, our office can arrange for a previous patient to speak to you about their experience. All patients are provided an opportunity to return for further discussions about their procedure at no additional charge. Educated patients are happy patients, and your happiness is Cleveland Plastic Surgery Institute’s goal!
